We are aching for warmer weather & have a feeling our Northern Hemisphere neighbors (bar you lucky dogs in California) are too. Here is a great little D.I.Y. project, to prepare yourself for the rise in temperature, that we found while doing research in 1970s craft books — perfect & quick & you probably have everything you need in your closet!

Triangle Top. Fold the square scarf in half to form a triangle. Wrap around your body and tie into a knot in the back.

Bandeau Top. Fold the square scarf in half to form a triangle, and then fold the point up (as seen in above illustration). Knot the scarf at the front or the back.

Bandeau Twist. Fold a large square scarf in half and then fold the point up, as you did for the Bandeau Top. Wrap the scarf around the body so the ends are at the front and twist the ends up and tie behind the neck.

Crisscross Top. Take a long, narrow scarf (no more than 10 inches wide), and wrap around the neck. Cross the ends at the back or front and tie off.

Halter Top. Fold square scarf into a triangle and turn the point down a few inches. Stitch into place, creating the casing for the ribbon. Insert ribbon and tie the ribbon behind the neck and the scarf ends at the back.

I’m one of the lucky ones living in warm weather but I’ll need time to try these out!
I loved the illustrations as well.
